Just Women is a quartely magazine for Christian women. It is provided by International Disciples Women's Ministries. We are part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The magazine debuted in January 2009.
Our target audience is women who are seeking to deepen their relationships with God and with other women. Our readers are diverse in age, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, education, and theological viewpoints.
Our mission is to provide inspirational, educational, and devotional materials women can use both individually and in small groups. Articles should be conversational, encouraging, and casual — never “preachy” or judgmental.
Articles for Just Women are by assignment only. Those interested in writing for the magazine should send a resume and clippings to Sherri Wood Emmons, general editor. Material can be submitted electronically to editor@justwomenmagazine.org, or mailed to Sherri Wood Emmons, c/o Office of Disciples Women, P.O. Box 1986, Indianapolis, IN 46206.
Just Women pays for articles upon publication. Payment is 16 cents per published word for feature articles. Authors also receive two complementary copies of issues in which their articles appear.
We buy first North American publishing rights; this includes use on our website.
Each issue of Just Women revolves around a theme. Feature articles are designed to educate and inspire women around those themes. Themes for 2010 are:

Summer 2010: Single and satisfied — changing stereotypes and learning to celebrate the relationships around us
